Why ONE
Our History
ONE Federal Credit Union was founded in 1949 for American Viscose Employees. Originally, our name was Viscose Employees Federal Credit Union. Due to ownership changes, the name was changed to FMC Employees Federal Credit Union, then Avtex Employees Federal Credit Union, changed to Meadville Area Federal Credit Union and now since we have expanded into multiple counties and towns we are ONE FCU.
The mission of ONE FCU is to provide low cost, member friendly products and services to its membership, while being a responsible member of the community. As you take in our new logo, look, and hours, we hope that you will agree that our functionality and ease of use goes far beyond our competitors’.
We want to be a friendly and knowledgeable organization founded by people helping people and meeting financial needs from life’s beginning to life’s end.

Our Charity
In keeping with Credit Union philosophy, “people helping people”, ONE FCU feels it is necessary to give back to our communities that we serve. Donations are collected in a variety of ways. Members are asked to donate the change from their checks when cashing them, or a dollar when processing a transaction which goes to the campaign. The Credit Union also has multiple fundraisers during the year to collect donations. These fund raisers have included 50/50 raffles, gift/theme basket raffles, bake sales, and lollipop trees. In addition, employees donate money from their paychecks each week for the privilege of wearing jeans to work on Friday. Overall, since its inception, ONE Federal Credit Union has raised over $90000.
